About Us
PURPOSE
The Purpose of the OCHC is to establish and maintain a corporate organization encouraging cooperation and participation among people who are interested in preserving, promoting and improving the overall equine industry in Orange County, New York with emphasis on education programs, hands-on experiences in the various equine disciplines. As a whole, the OCHC cannot be construed as a special interest group serving any one or a combination of segments of the equine industry.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership will be open to any individual who is interested in the equine industry. Annual dues will be set by the Board of Directors and shall accompany each membership application. Each application shall be in the form of a questionnaire that will provide information on each applicant for the future statistical use for the organization. All applications forms shall include a closing affidavit agreeing to abide by the OCHC By Laws and to act as advocates for the growth of the Orange County New York equine industry. Every member has the privilege of one vote in all matters requiring the casting of a ballot.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We're always looking to expand our pool of talent. We want passionate, dedicated, affable people who love working with our local equine community to make their horse-owning dreams a reality.
The Orange County Horse Council is a local organization supporting local horsemen and women. We urge you to come check us out – you'll be surprised by how unlike other organizations we really are.
